Respect for religious beliefs. That is the Western Wall, a remnant of the 2nd holy temple in Jerusalem. Mind you, it’s all a bunch of fairy tale bullshit, like every religion.

well there was a temple (where they did animal sacrifice and stuff) but this might not be it
