In the past I used to go to Macdonalds or burger king fairly often. I also enjoy whiskey and bourbon so I bought Woodford reserve.
Macdonalds and burger king, I stopped going when they kept the food the same but doubled the prices. For the same amount I'd rather go to some local artisinal burger place.
American bourbon I just stopped buying when trump started to make threats against the EU and Canada. In 2022 I visited the US, but right now I don't want to go to the US or use US products. Services I'm slowly getting away from but it takes some time.
Even if your next president is Bernie Sanders, I probably still wouldn't trust the US again. Who is next after him? Can be a trump like president again.
Where I live we have this saying, trust comes by foot but leaves by horse. It's going to take a lot of time to earn trust back.
I'm not going to be supporting america until at least a decade from now. IF they can show they're on a good path with no major hiccups, I'll reconsider.
of course our own country is slowly falling to the right as well, so... I'll be focusing on that first
Tariffs for greed’s sake I can understand from Americans. That’s the neighbour we know and eye roll when they’re not looking.
Tariffs with the intent of annexation is a red line that there’s no coming back from. Even if a less problematic leader is elected we have to reconcile with the reality that there are thousands of people in positions of power that thought all these facist orders are okay to follow.
Americans are trying to burn our house down while whining that we don’t showblow their driveway like we used to.
I don't blame you. Trump has set a precedent how low they can go. There is no return.
I am so sorry. I didn't vote for him.
