Rescue operations is better than nothing i guess.
Also the Italian navy doesn't fuck around when people are in danger and there are multiple examples of this in history.
Well ... Unless the people are dark skinned refugees in rubber boats.
Do you have some source about any event of what you are saying?
Because I remember countless occasions in at least the past 20 years where the navy has saved people who were dying in the middle of the Mediterranean.
Unfortunately yes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_Otranto
And more recently
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Calabria_migrant_boat_disaster
And I went only based on my memory. I don't want do dig further
Apart from the fact that the GdF isn't the navy, but do you consider those two example of the navy not rescuing people based on their skin color?
Read that again: the gdf tried to rescue, but couldn't because of sea conditions. The coast guard instead waited, even if their ships could deal with sea conditions.
And they did so because it was a boat full of migrants. For any other boat they would go out immediately to fescue
And why do you think that happened?
So now you admit that it happened.
Why it happened you ask? You tell me.
Functional illiteracy is really widespread.
Go back and read again the comments. Try to read carefully and understand the text. Then we'll keep discussing if you still need clarification.
Nah, thereβs no answer to this in the comments.
Answer? I am the one asking questions so... yes? But you can give an answer if you want.
Or you can just go ACAB and all the rest and there will be nothing more to say about it.
I'm ok with both outcomes.
Everybody is wrong expect you please reevaluate yourself you are the idiot who always try to deflect when you cornered
I'm sorry mate, what I've said is clear and factual.
On the other hand you all have just vomited some unjustified hate.
Also you calling me idiot is the cherry on the cake of your functional illiteracy.
Too bad.
Not when israel it the attacker, israel is completely lawless
They are literally going to rescue those people after Nazisrael's attacks.
You guys should post your sources because there is nothing worth a discussion here, except cringe slogans.
My friend is on a lifesaver boat in mediteranea. Idk about the Navy but the coast guard definitely let a few rafts full of civilians drawn instead of letting then land
How many? When? Why?
"A few", since we have fascists in the government and because their electorate are a bunch of racists.
In my opinion. Which doesn't automagically delete all the things the navy (among others) have done in the last decades
Italy and other countries should have threatened to take actions against israel if the flotillas are ever attacked and prividing protection before the attack even happened
And how is that related to the navy actions?
Are you serious, you are asking what protecting the flotillas has to do with navy actions?
That navy ship was used to shoot down Houthis drone but since this time it's a flotillas defying Israel blockade Melony refuse to take military actions to protect those ships and shooting down any potential drone attack.
Meloni is asking the flotilla do not go to Gaza and give the aid to Israel so Israel delivered it, the Israel that create intentionally a famine . She complained that the flotillas are not there to help Gazans but just to create problems for the government

I think you are just spitting hate without even checking what the discussion was about.
Regular internet interactions, although still a little sad.
Just asking question huh?
LOL
Go back and read all the comments, maybe you get an idea of what the discussion was about.
Or don't, whatever makes you feel better.
Regular cheap shot when you can't refute my arguments you start accusing others of things they didn't do.
Meloni and israel are the one spreading hate
You literally came here with a slogan ("Israel is lawless") to refute my statement that there have been countless occasions in history where the Italian navy promptly acted in support of people in distress.
Then you tried to include the Houtis drones, although that's completely unrelated to what I've said, and want me to refute your "arguments"?
Oh and you just dropped another slogan, "Meloni and Israel are the one spreading hate".
Yes, Meloni is a fascist. Yes, Israel is governed by nazis. I don't think there is any question about it, yet you feel the need of saying this, instead of staying in topic.
Again, in the past 20 years (at least) the navy has done a great deal of work to save immigrants. This is a fact, like it or not.
