Workers Party of Britain | @WorkersPartyGB

That today our leader @georgegalloway was detained under the auspices of the Terrorist Act comes as no surprise. This is not the first time the establishment has attacked us, nor will it be the last as long as we pursue the interests of the working class.

British imperialism is in decay, crippled with mounting contradictions both at home and abroad it is exposing its own barbarism and tyranny. The genocide in Palestine has been live-streamed and 350,000 British workers have been sacrificed on the altar of austerity - the Emperor has no clothes.

In its monstrous naked condition it is meeting resistance to its crimes by scuttling the last vestiges of liberal freedoms. Freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and peaceful civil disobedience all lay on the scrap heap of what was always the brittle veneer of a capitalist regime.

The historic task set before us all is the democratic struggle, against the regime, and its suffocating laws that now censor and chafe all political and civic life. This struggle will expose the limitations of the system, chief amongst them that rights, liberties and freedoms are not merely gifted, they must be won.

The ‘Workers Party’ of Britain are for helping the poor and working class, not for making them poorer and imposing policies and laws that will make them struggle more with increasing costs.

No, they're climate change deniers. They just dress it up in some socialist dressing. Not addressing climate change is the most anti-worker thing you can do, as it's workers (especially in the global south) who'll pay the price.

It's also completely disconnected from reality, green policies lower bills. If Britain wasn't so dependent on gas, households wouldn't have suffered so much from the shooting up of energy prices after the invasion of Ukraine. Funny that the party fronted by someone who used to do a show on Russian state propaganda network RT doesn't want to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
