Never seen so many people at a strike. Must've been 120k+. Police says 80k+ but that doesn't make sense. Waited 1.5 hours in the back before I could even start walking.

Police estimates of protests are just silly in australia.
For the Palestine march across the Sydney harbor bridge the police officially told the media it was 90K, the day of they told in private to Palestine Action that there were 100k but independent researchers using AI for people counting estimated 225k on the low end and 300K at the high end which was what the protest organizers said as well.
Then a week later there was a far right march against immigration and the police said it was 15K when researchers say it was 3-8k.
