Well, there are a lot of these dogs chewing things around the world all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that pets aren’t safe.

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

My only thought was that the pet owners are idiots

My cat exclusively choose USB cables, other cables are not tasty apparently. Is difficult to plan for everything.

[–] SenatorCollins@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago

Well, some of them are built so that they aren’t chewed on at all.

Cable plastics are derived from soy. They are designed to break down in landfills but the side effect is cat pasta.

Senator Collins, can you tell me about your government's tax plan?

[–] SenatorCollins@aussie.zone 3 points 2 months ago

It’s a complete void.

[–] SenatorCollins@aussie.zone 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Well, there are regulations governing the materials they can be made of.

No paper. No string. No sellotape.

Would like to see "dog chews don't cause it to catch fire" to the regulations requirements

[–] SenatorCollins@aussie.zone 1 points 2 months ago

It was outside of the environment

[–] SenatorCollins@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

It’s beyond the environment. It’s not in an environment. It’s been thrown beyond the environment.
