How about just arrest and prosecution and actually serious sentencing for sexual assault? Because that’s, you know, not extrajudicial.

I wish. Most people don't even get serious times for murder. They get remission for some reason and kill someone again when they're out. Serving time doesn't change their behaviour. It might work for some people but it definitely doesn't work for some. Where is justice if you can't prevent it after seeing their previous misdemeanors?

The hand breaking could absolutely be doled out judicially. He didn’t say it should be done without due process.

If we're going to break out cruel and unusual punishments, we should start with the ruling class that is responsible for way more death and suffering than this guy.

No opposing to that! Though they deserve much worse. It should be like this: Punishments are scaling as one's class, so they should know their responsibilities better. If you see yourself above the society, you deserve punishment. And I fear it's pretty common among the ruling class around the world.
