Isn't immediately purging anyone that disagrees with you politically a trademark of fascism? Unless the gal is cheering on the genocide that Israel is commiting, I don't think it's very democratic to fire anyone that thinks positively about Israel. She's part of the NYPD, being kinda shitty is a job requirement.

People don't react well to a purge. If she fucks up, then fire her for cause. Zohran is doing the right thing for the current material conditions. He's not in a position of absolute power where he can ignore building coalitions. And even if he was, that seems to not be the best approach.
