Why would they? They are another capitalist empire and are extracting resources from those that can't fight back.

Its not really clear to me that there is a pragmatic reason to be pro China either.

As the USA enemy hurting America proxy in the middle east would be really befefinicial. Iran failing would also means the usa controlling the valuable Straight of Hurmuz
