Really?? WTF who sold out?? This can only be some sort of sponsored covert op.. The compromised crooks need to be sacked, yesterday!

Wait wait wait, you mean the one place that literally shows the commentary of how unions actually do work, and show all of the evidence and STILL WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE UNIONS WHEN WORKING UNDER THEM? Holy shit, that's just evil. That's not stupid like a boomer or some tryhard trump supporter who clearly doesn't know anything. That's just evil.

Does anyone have experience self hosting with Kiwix?

[–] Allero@lemmy.today 4 points 3 months ago

Exactly what the other commenter said. Grandma level, all necessary tools are straight inside Kiwix app itself.

Die the hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the enemy.

Wikimedia Foundation does not have problems with funds, quite the opposite.

There was a scandal about it a year or two ago. They have plenty, and this is where it goes.

Oh god, is Darknet Wikipedia going to be what finally fucks these assholes?

[–] Allero@lemmy.today 7 points 3 months ago

Before then, download and keep and offline Wikipedia copy via Kiwix. It doesn't take as much space as people imagine - 111 GB for the English one, with pictures, if I recall collectly

I hope it's not grokipedia

From reading the article and watching the video, it didn't sound like they were refusing the option of having a union. It was more that they wanted to have an official vote on the matter, and didn't want to be pressured into a decision on the spot:

[W]e believe a secret-ballot election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board is the appropriate path forward. This process protects individual choice and ensures that any outcome reflects the collective will of those eligible to participate.
