This is my wife... I then had to explain to her multiple times that yes you do like onions and also garlic. I know this because over 90% of the things I cook include one or the other or both!

You know what. I should. I should grow up. I already love onions. But this sends a message.
Can confirm. Didn't like onions as a kid, always thought they were useless and added no flavor to a dish. Got older, learned a bit more about how to cook them and now I like putting onions in things.
When I met the woman I ended up marrying she thought she didn't like onions. It took some time, but finally she understood.
Now she is a much better cook than me and knows that onions go in just about everything. Her French onion soup is amazing.
I have a minor allergy to onions and can only eat them without suffering if they're caramelized or otherwise thoroughly cooked.
I'm 40 and I hate just about everything about onions. I can't stand the taste the smell the texture especially.
The thing I have to grow up about is that there can't be food without them there would be no flavor. So unfortunate... I love food and I hate onions.

Fuck you asshole, I love onions, but I'm allergic. After a major incident I have learnt to avoid them completely. Luckily this seems like a common enough thing that onion free versions of stuff are usually available.
