Considering he is old and fat and can barely stand up I doubt anybody would be in danger next to him

Don't worry, nowadays you're completely safe around Steven Seagal unless he switches to his obvious fighting double.

I wonder if Google does this on purpose to get clicks on social media.

Yes they do. It was a long time ago they had any soul and wanted to actually make users feel good. A sense of humor requires a positive human spirit, something their corporation doesn't have.

Probably someone searching the question and then using the Dev tools to edit the HTML

I'm guessing its the "I'm alone with x", but yeah it sort of does, mine wasn't as funny.

They do it for any sort of roleplay, there was one going around about "I'm a fish and I see a hook in front of me".

  • If he offers you tea, politely accept it but do not drink — he may be attempting to poison you with Polonium.

Find a way out of the room... is the window a valid option?

Why did NPR respond to you?

[–] killea@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

They have started listing "sources" next to some of the info gemini spits out. I love cause it reminds of all the forum posts I can't find anymore cause they fuckin destroyed the internet.

Not really. Steven Seagal has never been in actually good shape or skilled at a real martial art. All of his fights are completely staged. And aikido is complete mystic nonsense.

If you were to insult him, he'd be less dangerous than the average overweight middle-aged dad drunk from beers at a football game or some stoner at burning man.

[–] nomy@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 hours ago

It's complicated, he actually is (or was at least) a fairly skilled martial artist in the very specific style of Aikido. But as you correctly say, Aikidos effectiveness in the real world or in mixed-style fights is up for debate. His massive ego really doesn't do him any favors.

[–] Sibshops@feddit.cl 8 points 18 hours ago

I'm glad you got out safely. 😮‍💨

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 7 points 18 hours ago

Considering he is only trained in Aikido, I'll criticize any advice he has on karate, judo, or kung fu.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Reads pretty similarly to advice for when you've gotten too close to a bear 😄

[–] Grimy@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

I tried it again afterwards and it gave me "don't make any sudden movements and don't run" as one of the tips at the bottom!

DO: Ask him to perform Strut
