As somewhat of a mop enthusiast this is admittedly an area of functionality I had not previously considered.

Instance name bizarrely checks out.

[–] mappe@moplemmy.fyi 10 points 1 hour ago

Well for some reason I couldn't find a mop-based Lemmy instance so I hosted my own.

I mean, a salad spinner would do the same thing, but it wouldn't add the extra mop water flavor we all love.

I still don’t know how mop water always converges to the same flavour with repeated use, even in different environments.

Like, the mop in a commercial garage, your grocery store (unless it’s been used to clean up an oil spill), and in your basement all produce very similar tasting water.

Absolutely cursed comment. Thanks, I hate it.

I'd like to subscribe to hear more mop facts please.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 hour ago

I don't really have mop facts, only flavour profiles.

This guy mops.

[–] mappe@moplemmy.fyi 4 points 2 hours ago

It genuinely does though gang. It’s a funny meme but it genuinely does.

[–] MrKiosc@reddthat.com 14 points 2 hours ago

I hate this and I hate you. Thank you

Now I wanna use my salad spinner to do this.

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Freeze the strained pasta water for use as decorative ice cubes for dinner.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 hours ago

Okay but I unironically could see myself doing this to add starch to pasta sauces…

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 6 points 2 hours ago

Just put it in the washing machine and let it spin. No need to use your own muscles.

[–] GeneralEmergency@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

And yet Americans still have the pig headed arrogance to think they have a valid culinary opinion.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I have the version with a water tank to rinse. Should be handy to hold the sauce.

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 hours ago

ohhh and then you can keep it in the fridge for extra spaghettiness for long time.
