Are superheroes cops?
Depends on the hero.
Some are explicitly cops/spies/soldiers while others are mercenaries, vigilantes, or even revolutionaries.
99% of them end up working for some kind of state though, usually a capitalist one.
Depends.
Batman for one could be considered the bourgeoisie's personal vigilante, along with the fact that he works with the cops.
But that's one case and it depends.

Honestly for Venezuela, I'm really conflicted. On the one hand, I feel like Maduro would've said something if Rodriguez had betrayed him either at his plea hearing or the recent statement he made about the opposition meetings happening soon. But at the same time I feel like not everything Rodriguez has done has been the bare minimum necessary to prevent invasion/war, i.e reopening relations with Israel.
I lean pro-Rodriguez, partially just because the anti-Rodriguez people are insufferable, but idk
Sometimes I wish I had studied medicine. The medics save lives and stuff, meanwhile I'm like "I make computah go beep boop"
To be fair, computation can have its uses in healthcare. Though in what ways beyond purely administrative things, I'm not entirely sure. And I'm not sure how much of a career there is in it beyond sys admin type stuff.
Yeah, computers are awesome. It's just a little vent because it's harder to see exactly how I help compared to medics
Recently I made a program to generate reports for a hypothetical Socialist country. I feel like this sort of stuff could be useful in a smaller scale, but software can only act if there's people around to use it. Hopefully I'll get to help people in the future, maybe even in a hospital.
I get you. It's definitely more indirect when it is a help. But also just broader in what it can be used or. Medicine is more straightforwardly a "help other people" thing (with only the rarest cases of it being used for ill); software is more ambiguous as to the impact it has and what it gets used for. But yeah, here's hoping you find a good cause for it. The socialist country reports thing already sounds like a step in that direction!

I have a chicken named Sheba, which turned into Sha-bee-boo and then be-boo and she is always the last to go to bed so when I go to lock them up at night I'd say "go to bed sheba" but now it has now evolved in to me saing "Bo boo beep beep boo"
I wish I was able to get into medicine school since that's the only line of work that pays a respectable amount of money now.

I had been browsing local shelter pages for a while and my mom asked me if I had ever considered getting one. I think they feared for me since I just got my first apartment to myself and i have a history of depression and whatever. She and my dad ended up helping me with all the upfront costs. I took him home Friday and it's been hectic cuz he's a baby but I think it's helped give me something to hang on to.

Instruct models are funny sometimes. I was getting Deepseek to probe my Chinese progress / grammar understanding. And sometimes it'll do this thing where it'll be like "write a sentence based on XYZ" and then it'll be like "hint: [something that really gives away what I'm supposed to be doing]." Then it'll do the exaggerated sycophantic thing when I get it right. "You absolutely nailed it!" Really not great at subtlety lol.
Sometimes I really feel like Yugoslavia "sold it's soul for rock and roll". Literally. I've got some very old Yugoslav-issue records of Dire Straits and other stuff. Also applies to what happened to Yugoslavia.

Weird jobs. I have an offer for a postal clerk position paying 24-26 an hour in a town of 241 people in a state you normally wouldn't think would have towns like this. Around this town, it is straight 13 miles before you get to the next populated town. The poverty rate is 16 percent. It's also next to a national park.
I'm wondering if it's worth it.
As long as you can get housing and necessities figured out it might be ok. It kinda depends on how social you are. As an autistic person I like the remote living lifestyle.
Another day where I curse the people of the Milan Congress^[1880 Congress where oral education was adopted and sign language education was banned in Deaf education]. If it wasn't for them, maybe Deaf people could've developed their own system of writing.
It's seriously annoying to be unable to write stuff down in Sign Language (HamNoSys and Sutton SW don't count. They are like the IPA for Sign Languages).
