It's just good to get something in this website for casual viewing whilst refreshing original content is added overtime.

With hardware prices today, no one does.
My use of the PlayStation platform had dropped significantly and moved to PC, and now Steam Deck as well.
And now I'll just cease entirely.
They really love shooting themselves in the foot here.
And I suppose they will start trying to sue Steam when they fall.
EDIT: To be clear, the Deck can run GOG games with Lutris, and with PC I use a mix of launchers, not just Steam. My intent was to point out that many publishers seem to like going after Steam after they shoot themselves in the foot and lose users.
GOG for full drmless games, and if you are interested in self hosting them there are tools that let you do that too

Deck was my Trojan Horse. I actually bought it as a remote play accessory for my PS5 that could also let me emulate retro content and enjoy some older PC games that never came to PS.
Instead, my Steam library ballooned and I ended up repurchasing games I already owned on PS just because they were dirt cheap and ran fine natively on the handheld.
Last month, I came across an opportunity to buy a Steam Machine and discovered that there was enough of an additional mark up in my region that I could spend the same amount of money and build what is essentially a supercharged PS5 Pro. So I took that route and now I’m just waiting on the CPU, and whether or not Amazon upholds a miracle bargain on some RAM I found on their store. (I expect the seller to cancel when the time comes to ship it.)
My PS5 will henceforth be relegated to exclusives only and PSVR2 labor.
Good news, you don't even need the PS for the vr, there's an adaptor!
I actually already bought one for my new PC, but while the PC outclasses my PS5, I don’t know how well a Bazzite/AMD build is going to handle the PSVR2 hardware, let alone run stuff like RE4R/7/8 with VR mods when I can just play (some of) them on the the PS5 already.
Steam is certainly more consumer-friendly than most other big game stores, but you don't actually own your Steam games, either. I second the other comment recommending GOG (I do admit that I'm generally too lazy to do the extra work to run GOG games on Linux that don't do it out of the box, so I still buy games on Steam most of the time).
Agreed, just updated my comment for clarification here. But I'll add that I still own any game I've bought on Steam that was pulled from the store. They tend to be on the better side here.
That said, DRM free for the win.
I use my PS5 alot, and spend money on the PlayStation store as well. Can't afford to have 2 expensive machines for gaming. But honestly, no disk no buy. I am not going to buy a ps6 if it only ships with a digital store. We have been having that shit from apple long enough to know how shitty of a situation that is.

With the subscription (and Xbox Game Pass too) at least you know you're renting access to games.

Look at the work order. You paid $70 for a license, not an asset. That's how Sony keeps repair rights on their side.
