Like a lot of the responses here, I don't like much video porn, it's more funny than sexy.

Written erotica, that can be so hot, but still not often. Mostly when I need it, imagination is the way to go.

It's probably been years. I prefer to read my porn. My brain just can't get around the fact that so much porn is non consensual, there's a lot of human trafficking, and even the ones who do consent aren't usually being paid well. And there's not a very good way to sus out the more ethical to the less ethical porn. Also the second someone starts obviously faking things, it ruins everything for me so, reading it is just significantly easier for me.

Occasionally. It's frustrating that most free porn sites are kind of bad at search and filter. You'd think a tagging system would be easy to implement but most sites seem to just have a barely functional search.

My wife and I used to watch porn very often. Nowadays it's almost never. I cannot speak for her but for me the fakeness of it all became very cringey for me. Now, if I do watch, I stick to Lustery. It's a site that focuses on real couples. Watching loving couples laughing and enjoying each other is a lot hotter to me than most of the fake stuff out there.

Hilariously, many couples post travel vlogs with a sprinkle of sex in the end. I tend to watch the travel bit and skip the sex because I'm far more interested in the non-touristy places they go because the income comes from the porn bit rather than trying to be an influencer.

I've toned down the porn and trained my brain to settle (usually) for clothed images of hot people and its imagination. It feels better and it leaves more room for escalation

It depends on my mental health. During certain periods, it's every day. Other periods, nothing for a month or so. The worse my mental condition, the more I watch. Not that I pretend to know what the "real" or "correct" way to watch porn is, but I only ever use it as a coping mechanism. It helps me escape reality for a few minutes. Recently, I have begun trying to limit my consumption, because I don't really want to escape reality. As of today, I haven't watched anything for about two weeks.

I think I've conditioned myself to the point where it's it's pretty rare I go a day without watching at least one thing. Doesn't mean I always DO anything while watching, but that's an answer for another question.
