Sweden here. Can't say I do but reading the comments the it is Robbie Williams make me go "oh ok" because I don't really know who that is either.
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world
7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.
8) No Bots.
Posts or comments from bots, LLM's, AIs, Neural Networks, Transformers, or Marvin the Paranoid Android are not welcome in AskLemmy. Real humans only please.

Nope
nope
I do, but only because I watched British mtv in Eastern Europe growing up
Vaguely familiar
No
Where are his lips?
I had no idea who he was, until I saw his name.
I knew he was in Take That after seeing Derry Girls and looking up the band. We also had Now That's What I Call Music Volume 2 ( Now 2) so I am a big fan of Millenium.
The guy who left Take That
(I’m from Germany, we know him)
i juste wannaa feeeel
feeeeel looveeee
Millennium! Good song
If he came to my door. I would think I know him but not be able to place how. When he started talking, I would know I done know him personally and would figure I might know him from tv or YouTube. I know who Robbie Williams is, but not what he likes like, now I do
Californian checking in and no. He looks like a generic white dude id see at the gas station.
At first i thought that must be wrongly postet away Form shitposts and than i was shocked how many people dont know Robbie. In germany he was/is hughe.
No idea. Since its the UK hes probably like a celeb chef or something
Australia. Escapology is an amazing album. It's definitely in my desert island top 10.
Am in US of A, no. I'm also an outlier cause I am terrible with recognizing celebrities
Didn't he just release a movie about his life, but he was a monkey? His music didn't seem cool enough for how he behaved.
I didn't like the line 'for the next two hours your ass is mine' which sounds like a prison rape threat.
He looks like 2000s era Carson Daly after recovering from an accident that messed up his face somehow
Liam Gallagher’s old friend.
Yeah, he does a comeback show every year where he cashes in on all the middle aged housewives who are still preoccupied with 1995.
It always gets bad reviews but it sells out every year.
Morrissey?
Hehe, he's a bit older but I don't think I'm too far off:

is that the grandma bike guy?
Brobbie Brilliams. I know him from a Fus-Roh-Dah skyrim meme
Yes, not that I care at all for his music.
Yes
His music is not really my cup of tea but i was recently on a hike in Germany and visited a cottage/bar there and they had a live band there that played Let me entertain you.
US here, I learned who this is recently because I listen to talk shows for background noise while I work, and he's on the Graham Norton Show sometimes. He's funny. His music's okay.
I have to presume he's a spokesman for a prominent brand of lube?
Ha ha ha, he should be anyway.
Can’t stand his music, but he’s still cute after all these years
I was going to say Robbie something or other. I wouldn't be able to tell you what he does or did though.
Robbie Williams, am of right age and a fan of some of his music. I recommend rudebox which is him collaborating with all kinds of cool artists like the pet shop boys.
American living in the Netherlands, and I knew of him before moving to Europe. I like some of his music, "Tripping" has a fun video.
Didn't know until checking comments
Ritchie....Ronnie.....Rudy......Ravioli....
I might just show my age but I feel like, in Germany most Millenials and older will recognize him? I certainly did.
Yeah, I recognize him easily. I have this lightbulb memory of learning that a friend of mine was playing piano when I heard him perfectly play the piano melody to "Feel"
I'm South African
My uncle with a coke and gambling addiction loved his shit.
I haven't listened to the guy's music in twenty years.
I hardly remember anything about the songs.
I grew up developing a very different taste in genres. So I never really bothered keeping up with RW. Not to be a snob or anything, I'm sure my taste is most likely dogshit. I can see why people like him, but his stuff just isn't for me.
Plus, I don't want those tracks triggering any memories I am blissfully forgetting.
My uncle is a piece of shit. The coke and gambling thing is deep into saint territory on the spectrum of his morality. Man fuck that guy. (Not RW, I'm sure he's alright)
