True that I see less people doing this, but there are some that keep it alive, my sister still randomly cartwheels everywhere she goes, she even learnt how to do it while holding her beer, and without spilling it !

Maybe, hopefully, OP just doesn't spend as much time with girls as he did when a little boy. Anyway random cartwheels are definitely still a thing.
