especially the DA, wants to be re-elected, having campaign funds. prosecutors are likely in the same sitiautions, want to advance thier careers, needs police support/police donor support.

Flock should be pushing for new regs here and for this guy to be prosecuted. It would make everyone more comfortable with the cameras.
Just an FYI, if a company is ever actively pushing for regulation where they are a part of the equation, you should be suspicious. Like in your example, they wouldn’t actually care about the regulation beyond the PR of “look look we think this shouldn’t be allowed either!”

Flock is not going to be meaningfully regulated until a cop deletes a whole family in a public way.
I would not be surprised if a cop had already done so privately and it's just been covered up.
