At least in the thrash scene, Anthrax gets shit on a lot for being part of the Big 4, however I fucking love them, even though they had a period where every release was dogshit. Their early stuff is peak thrash, which is good because nowadays they mainly stick to playing their early stuff. Still deserving of their position. Though sometimes I wonder if it should be a Big 5, including Exodus, who were one of the first.

You literally never know what to expect with Anthrax and that's pretty cool. It occasionally ends in a shitty album, but it usually ranges from at least interesting to a classic.
