Nope. Pardoning Nixon was a mistake that should not be repeated.
Giving him a general pardon and not for specifics was the mistake. Alternate history for Nixon going to trial or any other course other than the one he took is a wild ride. As is most points in history, but it would have been an ugly America, so Ford's spoken motive had some merit. Whether Reagan makes it in seems to be a debated point, depending on how long the Nixon trial(s) go.

Well no, but the next president will likely be Republican and will surely do it. We can't vote them out anymore. Our last chance was 2024. We have to overthrow them. If we do that, then we should hang Trump.
