Duh... it's pretty much like how the news only covered that one auto maker about how they track your activity but the reality is, they're all doing it.

If it has a mic or GPS, you better believe they'll have a way to track you. Don't matter if Android or iPhone, Kia, Niisan, whatever. Tech bros and the state are all in cahoots.

Texas (and oddly, Ken Paxton) are currently suing five TV manufacturers for this. If anyone's interested I made a video about it on my channel.

And you can bet that in the US at least, they will happily provide everything to law enforcement, even if not asked.

I strongly believe all those cable boxes back in the day all had microphones in them. It may not have even been nefarious. If nothing else, its really valuable to advertisers to know who's watching what when. How much more can you sell advertising on YOUR provided cable channels when you can give concrete data to buyers who's watching and when they watch and what they might be doing while they watch. I would go as far as they may have even had cameras in them, thats why they always used line of sight for the remotes, to make sure the camera behind the tinted plastic would be pointed out to the middle of the room.

At this point, I just give up. Take my cookies. Take all my data. You know everything. Sell me stupid shit. I know, I was talking about re doing the living room floor with my family. Now its all flooring ads. You know I have strong anti establishment ideals. Now line me up against the wall with the others.
