Okay, so I'll say this. The doggies with guns/etc have been extensively prototyped, you don't hear much about it because it happens in other countries. The only reason I know is because of friends that I've worked with. Boston Dynamics, as they said they will never put weapons on them, well that doesn't mean another company won't buy them and put them on. Get your green tips while you can.

I'm going to be getting a new bra for this. A trap for boobies is what I mean. It would be this long corridor entrance to my house with automatic doors on either end. If you are expected you open the door and come in. Otherwise if you're a robot, as soon as you enter, both doors close and there will be a laser grid traveling from side to side chopping everything into little cubes. Or a large flame. Or maybe pointy rods shoot from bottom, top and sides and then retract.
Or maybe I would just have a 2X4 on the ready. I'm pretty sure those things can be wacked with a 2X4 easily.
Whichever is cheaper.

The Boston Dynamics dogs have a number of failsafe stop modes. One of which is loss of controller connection. Which can be made from some shit from the hardware store and a circuit board you can order online.
I'll just accumulate a big pile of bent up paperclips and when the robot crosses my gate, I'll dump it all on it. Then as the robot waddles around, I'll use a big magnet to clam him down while I go looking for the shutoff switch.

You don't need high tech, spray paint on the sensors will blind these. Shoot some rock salt into the cameras, hose them down with water.
Spray paint suggests a certain proximity, but paint in water balloons opens up some options
