Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

I was going to look at old Nissan Leafs before a Honda Civic landed on my lap... Great car, 20YO and nothing wrong with it, beyond being ICE. I, sadly, don't have the money to replace it, cleanly, with a Leaf yet.
But beyond cars, fertiliser prices are through the roof, which will spike food prices in the coming years. Logistics prices are through the roof. Can the US surrender yet, we know they're going to, they almost always do.
The blockade of the Persian Gulf does not exist anymore. A carrier was hit by a missile and they pulled back 500km. They should just leave, it is only showing more and more weakness. The only thing the GOP knows is doubling/tripling/quadrupling down on being wrong. They usually can buy their way out or litigate until the other party runs out of money and gives up, but the military is powered by people and they don't understand people.
What the US is doing has nothing to do with Republicans vs. Democrats. This imperialism is all we do. To blame the 'GOP' for this instead of the US is to admit you don't care what's causing these sufferings.
They removed all of the competent military leaders and are ignoring intelligence. This is a uniquely stupid situation and no matter how much you try to convince yourself, both sides are not the same.
Just a reminder that we had an agreement with Iran before all of this, and by all accounts, it was working and Iran was adhering to it.

I wonder if Trump will try his clearly working strategy of escalating things and yelling threats.
Maybe he’ll say some other country is offering to open the strait of hormuz for cheaper and Iran will get scared and cave.

US is incapable of peace with Iran. The only outcome will be US just leaving, as donald the brave victory retreat. Iran doen't have a BeM demand. It has an Al Ansarah (Yemen) sanctions lifting demand, and cash upfront for any deal.

This all sucks. We're in the same situation as Russia. The strongman in charge can't afford to admit defeat, and he doesn't care about the cost, so there's no end in sight. Something needs to happen to end this...
Republicans could end this any minute with majority in all three branches. They support the coverups, the bribes, the war, the reckless loss of lives, the reckless loss of American lives, and the pedophilia.
Yet, if you say the USA would be better off if all republican representatives, the ones responsible for this mess, disappeared today the USA would be in a better place. People will call you a fascist. It is a simple truth, one that many can't or won't accept.
Of anything this underlines just how bad, and probably far-reaching, the Epstein files really are.

Not crucial to your point but this sort of orientalism too often goes unchallenged. They're not "hardened fanatics who find honor in death" (at least not any more than any other culture that values martyrdom, which is most of them); everything Iran has done so far can be explained through the cold hard math of geopolitics.
IRGC is the current leadership of Iran. They did not hold complete power before the war. Previously the president and ayatollah held power as well
Their actuons have largely been rational from a geopolitical perspective, butbtheir end goals differ from what previous Iranian governments would have looked for
