Yeah, because the last time Muskrat was on a govt committee, it went so well...

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

Hey Iran, Elon Musk is now a legitimate military target.

[–] schipelblorp@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 month ago (3 children)

According to the West, there are no legitimate targets on our side. Any and all attacks on Western military targets are considered terrorism.

It is is beyond ridiculous. People allegedly attacking a US Airbase in the UK (maybe just stealing diesel) are called terrorists for attacking a military target. It is absolutely bonkers.

Yeah I don’t think that bullshit is flying as well as it used to though. It’s too obvious who is instigating, and more people have been paying closer attention and learning about the history of the Middle East and the foreign policy of western governments. I’m encountering it more and more from people whom I would not expect it, and I get around.

I would move to Iran myself if they blew this fucker out of the sky on one of his douchebag jaunts across the ocean.

You know what? Good. I'm glad that Elon is now a valid military target.

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 28 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well, is not like he's got anything else to do. Being the ceo of 5 (?) companies obviously doesn't take much of his time.

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago

From what I've heard, they probably do better the less time he focuses on them.

[–] graycube@lemmy.world 75 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Really expensive self driving tanks that can also be submarines but parts fall off when they hit a bump.

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 29 points 1 month ago (3 children)

and it's only self driving if you put a crew inside

[–] Obituarykidney@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

And they sink if you actually test the submersible feature.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Full self driving 2033

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

I'm convinced that his truck thing was supposed to be the next Humvee. That man loves the government teat.

[–] TheObviousSolution@thebrainbin.org 39 points 1 month ago (3 children)

They need to purge the military before they overturn the midterms just to address the possibility of US forces suddenly deciding not to follow illegal orders enough to detain Trump when given them. The US isn't a shitshow anymore, it's in a free fall that will drag a lot of the world with it.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 month ago

Oh no please don't put the most trained and capable logistics/communication/warfare experts out of a job all at once.

Shits gonna backfire.

I like how Musk magically joins the government every time there is an election that Trump needs to cheat on. Then leaves like 4-6 months after the election is over. Probably just trying to make sure he doesn't get arrested by Democrats for all the illegal shit he is doing

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 22 points 1 month ago

but he said no weirdos....

I fully thought this was the onion. I really hate this timeline.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 month ago

Sure! Why not! Let's hire the nazi! American people...only you can save yourselves now.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 16 points 1 month ago

I got as far as the first paragraph before noping out of that article - right about here...

Musk will be joined by Palmer Luckey...

[–] brax@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Is he about to DOGE the military?

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 month ago

He walks into the Pentagon on day 1 carrying a sink and then spends the first month figuring out how to get the tanks to make fart noises when they fire missiles

[–] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 13 points 1 month ago

I suppose that’s one way to prevent US drones from being fully self-driving.

[–] Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Let me guess, the warfare of the future demands lots of Tesla power walls and a heavy reliance on starlink...

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago

And the exact number of unsold cybertrucks!

[–] opus86@lemmy.today 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Oh cool. Let's watch Elon completely fail on a large scale again like he did with his DOGE bs.

[–] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

They just found another way to transfer public money to Musk

Here we go with the implementation of fully automated, AI fueled warfare as a blueprint to be used for internal affairs. I wish i weren't able to say it, but I told y'all this would happen.

[–] Arola@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's more simple than that - like doge, this will be an extraction of public money, and maybe the transfer of more data from government / publicly funded storage to Musk's CSAM generating facility.

First meeting of the new taskforce

Musk: So.... Ketamine, amirite?

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

This immigrant is ok because his skin is white.

[–] MJKee9@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

You know they are at historic lows of incompetence when they just keep recycling the same ghouls into different positions. I'm honestly shocked we still haven't nuked the planet into ash by now.

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

SpaceXai's biggest client! Future of warfare needs golden dome $1T+ contract to spaceX, obviously. Another $2T for Grok built skynet is recommended.

[–] weps@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

give him his chainsaw and send him to the middle east

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 8 points 1 month ago

Kinda reminds me of Space King and his psycho warriors, just going around and murdering everyone and hating women.

It's a YT parody of Warhammer 40K for all of you non nerds.

They also appointed Microsoft CEO to build jet engines and appointed Boeing CEO to build server infrastructure.

Back in the circle jerk again.

[–] med@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago

Oh look, I guess Neuralink isn't out of primate test subjects after all!

[–] ChristerMLB@piefed.social 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Trump administration has been pretty shit at militarism so far, I consider that a good thing when it comes to fascists. Hopefully this continues the trend.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Yeah, but being shitty at it did result in 123 children being turned into red paste. And some fisherman being gibbed. And some service members becoming suicidal.
