Did we build the world wide web or did we just shitpost for the lulz for decades without realizing we gave all the benefits of our shitposting to Mark Zuckerberg?
Well, we went from shitposting in niche, independently run, forums, to doing it on corporate platforms that spy on you. So I don't think that the shitposting itself is necessarily the issue here
I didn’t do anything. I just went along for the ride. I love using tech other people made to help me do shit. I think I just like problem solving efficiently.

Come now, at least half of Mastodon/*key users are genderqueer twentysomethings who are mind-bogglingly good with computers.
Then there's me a 30 something woman for whom computers dislike working
as if Captain Lezbian could ever not fit perfectly into the fediverse.
