More than once for me it's been a comment that I posted.

You ever rewatch a show because it's been long enough that you forgot what happens? Well, the same can happen to internet content too. Only you'll forget that you had ever saw it in the first place because it's not a show with hours of content under its name.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Anyone still watching in 2026??
(dear lord I hate these comments on every damn video)
Often those annoying cliche comments are made by bots.
I've been 2.5 episodes into a "new" show before realizing I'd watched it before.
I once was two hundred pages into a book before I realized I had already read it.
It wasn't a very good book the second time either
Same vibe - searching for a solution on StackOverflow, best answer is one I wrote ...
I did that, found the exact issue I have. Looked at the author and it was me 3 years earlier, still without the answer I was looking for
I used to be smarter than…..me?
I swear youtube is messing with me, I get videos sometimes that I don't have liked but i swear I've seen before
It's common for channels to repost old videos so YouTube promotes them as new again. Often with tweaked title and thumbnail to try for more click rates the second time, but sometimes it's just reposting something old enough that due to user turnover it will be new to many of the people it's promoted to.
Also, it's common for channels to steal content from other channels, to slap together with minimal editing what the original creator took weeks to research and design presentation for.
The thing is sometimes they're 8 years old videos or sometimes music I know I have listened to before. For music I'd guess that there are new videos because of labels, mv and whatnot, but I have no explanation for the really old videos
One time I couldn't figure out how to do something in this old game I was replaying. Typed in the problem, and found an old forum post of mine where I explained what to do in that section. At least I didn't do a classic "nevermind - solved it" post back then.
I have replied to my own comments years later and agreed with myself before realizing.
worse: enjoying a youtube video for the first time, then seeing your comment as the first one in the comment section.
I once searched for a solution for a tech problem, found a reddit thread that explained exactly what to do. Lo and behold, there is my own comment thanking the poster for the solution from three years before
I once searched for a solution for a tech problem, was bombarded with people posting variations on the most unhelpful text of all time: "It's working for me".
Your comment: "found the issue, was something completely different. thanks anyway!"

Oh my god, that finally fixed it! I thought I'd never find a solution! Thank you so much!!!

Who were you, DenverCoder9? What did you see?!
i have been back to rediscover some song for the first time in my memory 3-4 times already
reading the comment first, being glad you finally found someone you totally agree with to then see it's your own comment
It seems you've also seen a sphere being turned inside out
Nice, you can be a politician or even a us president if your condition degrades soon
What kind of psychopath reads the comments, let alone likes them...
It's not an indication of psychopathy. Probably an indication of having no social life.
Or seeing your likes as you scroll through the comments
That's what the image says....
