That doesn't make any sense.

Bias baked into the models may make them deny genocide, smear socialism, say climate change is up for debate. Basically Ai is and will be used to do capitalist-imperialist propaganda because people trust it blindly. It’s already being used for genocide denial.

And genocide as well, since it's used to create target lists for the IDF and the US airforce

I guess it's openai and anthropic who decide that an llm is racist and mysoginist, because of the data they chose to train it.

[–] sage@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yea it does.

AI is guided to owners expectations.

And it builds a narrative for its users.

Not sure to what extent this is true, but people say AI is made available for free because the profit comes from influencing people's views and thus cultivating profitable behaviours.

Yes, but they pay to be able to influence people.

[–] OrnluWolfjarl@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 week ago

Yes, you, with your data and taxes.

[–] davel@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago

Ostensibly it’s the amalgamated narrative of the model’s corpus, but corporations, most notably SpaceXAI/Grok, will often tune the narrative to their taste.

The industry knew we were dumb enough to pay thousands of dollars for our dumb terminals. The people of the world deserve their tech fudalism, we asked for it.

It's actually lots of people's copyright-protected material all chopped up into a slop-smoothie.
