… in bed … eating …

these are the people I have to share a highway with

[–] Hazel@piefed.blahaj.zone 20 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Not just eating in bed, eating chips.

*shudders*

[–] manuremy@sopuli.xyz 4 points 3 weeks ago

Have you ever had crispbread? Or even better, sour crispbread? I once ate that in bed, was drunk.. The crumbs were there even after like few sheet changes.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

It's honestly a crime against nature. Who would even do that?

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Not necessarily an indicator that they're bad drivers. Just be grateful you don't have to share a bed with them.

Ah that was a fun read and now I'm in on the reference. But my stance on the matter remains unchanged. I ate freeze-dried sweet potatoes in bed before I fell asleep a few hours ago yet I assure you I'm a highly competent driver.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Counterpoint: bad drivers don't think they're bad drivers :p

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I've driven across the USA coast-to-coast 5 times by myself, in a ten-foot-tall truck, and one of those trips I was hauling a 40-foot trailer behind it. I'm adept at attaching the trailer & detaching the trailer, & cranking it all up & down. I'm comfortable driving backwards with that behemoth trailer too, to angle & maneuver it back it into parking spots. All incident free. I invite you to come be my passenger sometime, without the trailer because that's a rare occasion, & you can decide for yourself if I'm a good driver or a bad driver.

You got very defensive to something that was a little joke that wasn't specifically calling you out

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't feel defensive, my brain is just freestyling, when I read something and I blurt out the stream of consciousness that occurs in my mind.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago

Ahh fair enough, that's understandable. I can be like that sometimes

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 47 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

warning. this is the work of 'big chips'.

there's something subliminal going on here cuz i just had a craving for chips and had to go fetch a bag myself.

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

Can confirm, eating chips now. Send help and salsa

A woman walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a Double Entendre.

He gives it to her.

(Raw and wriggling?)

I can tell you noticed (likely) what instance I am a part of. I was not thinking of that. But if it is gagh, if needs to be alive. Gross if it is dead.

[–] FiskFisk33@startrek.website 6 points 3 weeks ago

*nasty chipses

[–] Leonixster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 24 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I love it when people make fake text memes and completely disregard who would be the most likely to take the screenshot of the convo.

Like, the implication here is that the person making the unwanted advances found the rejection interesting enough to screenshot it and upload it online somewhere.

yeah yeah I know I'm thinking too hard about it but I just find it funny

[–] architectonas@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Why not though? Both sides might recognize the humor in it.

[–] Leonixster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah I know, and this could also be the conversation between actual partners, but I'm going with what I think would ve the most likely

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago
[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Actually I posit another theory, the rejector could have found their rejecting funny enough to screenshot/upload, sort of laughing at their own joke.

I mean I'm sure you're right and it's fake, but y'know, other perspectives.

[–] DanVctr@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Right, but then the colors would be opposite. Lol

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago

Fair point lol.

Alright I got it, rejected sent it to his brother, his brother thought it was funny and posted it.

Still fake though lol.

[–] myyass@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I will complete the ultimate heresy by eating crisps and chips in bed, with gravy and cheese curds =)

[–] krakloskewm@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That's cool and all but have you ever eaten crisps and chips with gravy out of someone?

[–] myyass@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

No, my imagination strays on this one--please don't be a human centipede reference--please?--not like this.

[–] krakloskewm@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Of course not.

I wouldn't spoil the intimacy of eating a full meal meal lovingly placed inside some orifice for consumption by comparing it to the human centipede.

[–] myyass@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Well I guess if it goes back and forth between our mouths while we kiss then I don't see a problem.

[–] krakloskewm@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)
[–] myyass@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

That was such a weird and good movie lol

Those chips aren't doing your teeth any favors!

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

What kind of favors can chips do?

[–] baguettefish@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 3 weeks ago

flavor favors
