This doesn't seem very safe. I hope they're protesting for something good this time, and not against environmental protections like last time.

Rising and unaffordable cost of living, education and underfunding thereof, amongst other things.

From what I heard, it’s multiple things coalescing into a singular movement at this point

This unfortunately is a preview/review of what’s to come in other nations as things unavoidably get worse everywhere

Being under 60 in the world right now isn't safe. Embrace the chaos and forge your own future. You already know that the powers that be won't ever voluntarily give you what you deserve

Oh fuck off. They were protesting environmental legislation that hurt regular working class people that contribute less than 1% to global warming. While the same government fucks were giving tax breaks to corporations and billionaires that contribute 99%. "THIS DOESN'T SEEM SAFE" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜€ Are you an American? I wouldn't be surprised you pro-pedophiles would be put off by revolutionary action.

Gillets-Jaunes, maybe better known in the anglosphere as 'Yellow vests' movement

So the police aren’t completely militarized yet, like here.

[–] ieightpi@lemmy.world 3 points 29 minutes ago (1 children)

At this rate, they will be

Not if they want to keep their heads in the upcoming trails. Lol

Seriously I hope there are public executions of their pedophile elites. Hopefully Americans will get inspired and we see Trump family get all killed on Livestream. ❀️❀️❀️

These cops, no. But these aren't riot cops. Riot copsin France are legit monsters. Absolutely horrible.

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 3 minutes ago

The French are fucking legit. We need that energy in the US. I mean, it's much easier to organize and meet in city centers in France than in the US, but if you can get 2000 dedicated and coordinated people to split into groups of around 500 and cause chaos simultaneously in any large city you'll overwhelm the local police, national guard, whoever they decide to call in. Plus a group of organized patriots could easily disperse and blend back into the crowd if needed, then re-convene, regroup, and hit them where they ain't. I mean FFS there's a national guard armory a few miles from me with hummers, apc's, a few tanks, and all sorts of sweet military gear. At any given time there's probably 30 people or less on site guarding things, and they don't really wanna die. There's a single chain link fence with some cantina wire keeping people out. A car or a pair of bolt cutters will take care of that. You show up with a few hundred armed civilians, smoke the hell out of the place, cut power lines to the armory, and let them know they can either hand over the keys, disarm, and leave, or they'll be burned down with the building they're in.

Most military vehicles don't even have keys. If you get thru the fence and can open the door/hatch, it's yours.
