Something like duolingo but for voice training specifically.
It's what I am working on at the moment as personal project but I don't have experience with meither microphones nor signal analysis.
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world
7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.
8) No Bots.
Posts or comments from bots, LLM's, AIs, Neural Networks, Transformers, or Marvin the Paranoid Android are not welcome in AskLemmy. Real humans only please.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Nice try, Microsoft. Not letting you vibe code my ideas
I seriously need editable TODO tasks and calendar running on the desktop wtih CalDAV support and reminders (Linux, wayland).
Maybe something like that exists, but I haven't found it yet. I will probably have to make it myself when I find the time.
Still a work in progress, but a friend of mine is building exactly that: https://git.circuitforge.tech/eva/focus-flow
Content filtering that works cross-platform and is able to remove the all the noise from social media. Dunks, insults, one liners, posturing, grandstanding, outrage and so on. People who demand to be heard but have nothing to say.
rm -rf ultrarich, *corporation
That's probably incorrectly formatted, but you get the gist.
May I fork your repo? If yes, then:
# fork of @maeve@kbin.earth 's groundbreaking code. Give them a like!
# / is equal to KNOWNUNIVERSE
find / -iname "ultrarich" -and -iname "*corporation" -exec rm {} \;
Bookkeeping software. You scan your receipts. You scan any other important documents it compiles everything needed so you can do your taxes. And get the best tax write offs.
Working on it soon: https://git.circuitforge.tech/Circuit-Forge/crossbill https://circuitforge.tech/software/crossbill
The shared core and application framework is solid, but I have been focusing on Peregrine mostly as I'm trying to help my partner find a job. If I had some more beta testers, I would be able to start on more of the apps I have planned:
A proper file manager on Linux like Xyplorer or Directory Opus.
I've tried all the Debian based ones and none come even close
Actual HUD for glasses/contacts without all the bloat and spyware. Would be pretty nice to have a map and notes always available in my peripheral when I want.
I had Google Glass when it came out. It was essentially this, but the tech at the time was still too bulky and voice and other things that would've made it better were not quite ready yet. A little too ahead of its time, but the idea was there. In fact, since then, I've seen attempts to do what you're asking, and we're getting closer. The problems now are the cameras & microphones and privacy, and bulkiness of the devices.
A robust, comprehensive, granular, libre-content search-engine.

Can select filetype categories for results: text, images, audio, video, software, etc.

Extra bonus quality: Inbuilt player and jukebox mode.
* If something similar already exists, let me know.
I’m actually making it. Official 1.0 release is a few weeks out as I work on LLC/App Store approvals, but it’s pretty much there. BookPocket, a book tracker/reading log that treats sources/recommenders as actual entities and can learn whose tastes you share and prioritize your TBR based on those. I was annoyed the book tracker I used has been leaning heavily on AI recommendations, and none of the options out there offered this kind of functionality. I hope others find it useful, but at the very least, I’ve replaced the book tracker I was using with it and it’s helped me prioritize the books I actually want to read from my endless list.

An ad blocker, but it doesn't just block the ad, it engages with it based on your defined parameters. You get a blacklist/whitelist setup, so you can list businesses and topics you want to support and businesses you don't. Now every aldi ad that I don't actually see gets a bot version of my engagement to convince advertisers that I'm into that, but every Nestlé ad gets reported for abuse with links to their many, many crimes. All the while, it looks like I'm engaging with the advertising like a good little consumer without ever having to waste my own time.
The environment is genuinely a give and take, and I wonder what part of the adpocolype is caused by garbage data due to ad blocking. Instead, we opt out. Instead of digging through our trash and spying in our movements we just give them an itemized list and tell them to fuck off.
I want stand-alone spreadsheet tables. Like if I wanted a 3x6 grid that acts like a spreadsheet, without out all of the chrome of a spreadsheet program.
If not that, system wide spreadsheet functionality whenever a table is invoked.
