Gen Z will at least change their votes, hopefully.
Leopards Ate My Face
Rules:
- The mods are fallible; if you've been banned or had a post/comment removed, please appeal.
- Off-topic posts will be removed. If you don't know what "Leopards ate my Face" is, try reading this post.
- If the reason your post meets Rule 1 isn't in the source, you must add a source in the post body (not the comments) to explain this. If the reason is in the source but is tedious to find (e.g. in a lengthy video), you must add an explanation for where it is.
- Posts should use high-quality sources (for a rough idea, check out this list), and posts should retain the title (if one exists) from works like news articles, videos, etc. You may (but need not) edit your post if the source changes the title. (If you're only using an excerpt from an article that's otherwise not about LAMF, you can use the quote in the title.) Other types of posts should have a title which accurately, relatively neutrally describes their contents.
- For accessibility reasons, an image of text must either have alt text or a transcription in the post body.
- Reposts within 1 year or the Top 100 of all time are subject to removal. Within moderator discretion, this doesn't just include reposts of the exact same media but also includes e.g. a secondary source telling basically the exact same story as another that was already posted.
- This is not exclusively a US politics community. You're encouraged to post stories about anyone from any place in the world at any point in history as long as you meet the other rules.
- All Lemmy.World Terms of Service apply.

Nope, they wont
Gen Z won’t vote.
The youth won't vote for the lesser evil, or foe things to stay the same instead of getting worse...
But they absolutely vote for improvement.
Them not voting for Obama the second time, Hillary, Biden, or Kamala doesn't mean they won't vote.
Stop acting like the fucking candidate isn't important, it's lit the most important thing about an election
In 2028 a neoliberal won't get shoved down our throats again, the most recent example of how that works out is 08 Obama. Regardless of how he was in office, the 08 election everyone believed he was going to bring good change.
Like, it's basic fucking psychology/sociology...
25 and under want change, they're wired for it, it's the entire reason change happens. All the way back to "why don't we just throw the pointy stick?"
In 2028 a neoliberal won't get shoved down our throats again
I'll believe that when I see it.
Who would have thought voting in a pedo con man could make things worse. The majority of the American voters are repulsive.
The majority of the American voters are repulsive.
The majority of American voters didn't vote for trump...
That would mean he got over 50%
Yeah. Turns out shit get worse when nobody wants to apply critical thinking skills. Weird
lol oh well. These snot noses have decades to live with the vote they made.
I mean, zoomers were around for the first term too, right? Short memory I guess.
Can you hear the Oompa Loompa chorus?
Oh. You mean voting for something because "it's funny" has consequences? Fuck off. I like so much about Gen Z, but this is one of the things I despise.
Zoomers have proven they can be just as stupid and gullible as the older generations that have allowed this to happen. I won't hold my breath for them to do the consistently right choice when voting as a block. Best I'd hope for is them to get upset enough to go against their initially wrong choice once in a while if they ever bother to vote again.
