There are a lot of wealthy elite Republican Trump supporters who think installing an authoritarian regime will consolidate and extend their power. They don't see that authoritarianism means the only thing protecting them from a purge is the thought of it by the leader. Their wealth, power and privilege, CEO or Senator, mean precicely shit. Just look to Saudi Arabia China or Russia to see how fragile power is.
They voted for him again, anyway, and then they blamed "boomers. Hopefully, they'll change their vote.

I think the key issue here is that, regardless of generation, most humans are stupid and impressionable.

For people who are mad about voting for him, why did you do it? His first term confirmed that Trump is completely serious about what he says, it's not a joke or pandering, he's actually what he potrays himself as. He sits around the White House shitting his pants and demanding blow jobs.
