Been holding onto my phone for 7 years. Still totally fine. Really not looking forward to seeing how hard it is to get a phone with a 3.5mm the next time I'm in the market. Whoever still does it gets my money.

I still own this one and it's thicker than the rest phones todays. https://m.gsmarena.com/lg_v40_thinq-9300.php
3.3 < 7.6 🤨
Still, looks thinner lol.
I separated an extra pair of headphones for me and once I wanted to use them I noticed my phone has no headphone jack
I don't have that problem on my walkman.
I love wireless earbuds. I know they're not cheap like the wired ones are. Listening to music while you're working out is better wirelessly. Talking on the phone is better. I get that tech companies are forcing us to adopt less free standards but I would never go back to wired earbuds.
Audio quality in calls with bluetooth sucks balls.
I don't use ear buds, I use cans. Sony XM4s. Can use BT or Wired. Absolutely fantastic for when your headset battery runs out and still need to listen to good audio
I agree. Wireless buds are great. As are wired. Back in the day no one forced you to choose one.
And if you want to you still don't have to choose between the two. You have to choose between phones that let you use both and phones that make you use wireless.
What cheap? They sound flat no matter how much you pay and good (wired) in-ear start at 80 €. If you're satisfied with wireless that's nice but the friction isn't only in the price.
That said, a good USB-C DAC beats any phone's DAC by 10 miles.
