Perchance
Boy oh boy did I ever make the mistake of reading Facebook comments about this tragedy. People are actually out there theorizing it was a missile.
I know this may come off as morbid curiosity but what happens to the bodies in such a scenario? Are they vaporized with no possibility of retrieving them? Are there remains ? And if so, do they simply incinerate the rest before the funerals ?
RIP to all the passengers and pilots, really a heartbreaking tragedy i wish i didnt see today.
Pretty much pulverized through sheer kinetic force. Throw in the fireball afterwards and there likely aren't any remains to be retrieved. If there are, the pieces are extremely small.
If it is any mercy at all, the process was so fast that their minds never had a chance to process the pain of the impact. Just an extreme closeup of the ground and then... nothing.
30,000 feet per second = Mach 27
I don't think that's correct...
No, we just passed October 27
Its a small mistake but still: its 30.000 feet per minute, not second
30.000 feet per second is about 10km/sec which is closer to speeds of meteors crashing into the earth. At those speeds, that plane crash would have had enough energy to likely wiped out the entirety of Miami.
Pilot made a small mistake too
at that speed, the plane would have been completely vaporized just from the atmospheric friction alone.
it was 22,000 ft/minute which is around 367ft/second. at 22,000ft high they traveled 250mph until they crashed.
cries in metric
it was 35,200 bananas/minute which is around 587 bananas/second. at 35,200 bananas high they traveled 2,112,000 bananas an hour until they crashed.
Perfection
Honestly, i felt the audio wasn't as bad as so many people are claiming it to be. Like yes its bad, but after seeing watching so much of palestine footage, its.... not that bad. They suffered for like 30 seconds, and then peace.
If you listen to hind rajab's audio, that thing is super devastating. Like imagine being 5 with your parents dead in the car with you, trying to explain to paramedics, imagine what those paramedics must have felt in that moment. All the agony, all the struggle. Like what thoughts did hind have while waiting for paramedics to arrive?
I think the reason this flight audio feels so scary to western audience is because, so many people have flown, and "it could be any of us", whereas hind rajab and other palestinians live in a "war torn" country. Like it happens all the time over there anyways.
Why so divisive?
It was 20,000 feet per minute
Where on earth did you get those numbers?

If it was travelling at a velocity of 30,000 feet per second it would have been vaporized by atmospheric heating. That's substantially faster than asteroids collide at. That works out app 20,454 mph which is considerably faster than a Apollo rocket.
Don’t listen to the audio. You can’t unhear it.
^ ^ ^ ^ Take this advice! I can still hear the sounds of a terrorist decapitation video I watched at least 20 years ago.
Me too, that video was horrifying.
