badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

Boiling the oceans to piss off the advertisers. It's brilliant.

I meant directecting those crawlers (usually unsophisticated from what I heard but they have a big range of ips connecting) that put a load on websites to steal data and feed their llms. Websites that host open source projects have had a lot of problems with them and the crawlers managed to break the anubis challenge recently but I doubt it would work. thonk-cri

Oh, I agree, I wasn't pointing the "boiling the oceans" comment at you. They're doing that anyway, regardless of what you do on your site. Might as well redirect them to doing something that also makes advertising useless.

I do too, haha, and I was actually worried about my initial comment before sending it, because I was tired at the time. Should have waited until morning.

It gets hard to post because I feel that way a lot and I can't make sense of anything and sometimes spend 20 minutes staring at my post in a daze. kril-at-sea

I feel that in my soul. It doesn't help that I'm autistic, so a lot of times something that sounded funny in my head ends up flopping big time in the community. Everyone always says "just post" but if I did that every time I'd probably get banned or something. For what it's worth, I really liked your post. :o)

That is quite troublesome tbh. I am neurodivergent too and I am often on guard about what I post and do too many edits because I am worried it came out the wrong way or simply because it has too many mistakes.

For what it's worth, I really liked your post. :o)
