No probably not. We have no space capability and our cyber security is pretty weak.

I woke up this morning in a cold sweat. I was breathing heavily and my heart was pumping so hard I thought I was having a heart attack. This was happening to me because I all of a sudden realized that NZ could not win a future conflict in space. It was a existential fear. It was literally the most important thing to me at that moment. I cared more about a future space conflict than the price of butter, wether or not my car was going to break down, what kind of things were going to happen to me at work, all my aches and pains, the fact that the current government is gutting the health and education sectors, a genocide in Gaza etc.

I am now ready to call for increased taxes and 50% cuts to all government spending on infrastructure, health, education, and the environment so that we can win a future war in space against an unnamed enemy **cough** China **cough**
