Some MAGA supporters who paid for Donald Trump watches are seriously ticked off. The majority of reviews for GetTrumpWatches on Trustpilot give the company just one star, with some people complaining that it is a “scam.”

The timepieces are made by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC and range from $499 to $2,999 per watch, or $5,389 for the “Ultra Mega Collector Set.” The president has been criticized for hawking them on cable TV as a government shutdown drags on over healthcare funding.

On Jan. 8 Lemme be Frank, from Switzerland—a country famed for its watches—wrote, “Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not buy any of these garbage products. Avoid like the plague!!”

Expensive watches are already a scam. But the sheer hilarity of buying ANY Trump-branded product and expecting it not to be a scam? Truly hilarious.

They go to religion every week, where some asshole liar just lies to them for an hour or two, until they're so used to being lied to - they just can't tell the difference anymore.

You want less stupid suckers? Less religion.

the christian nazis want more stupid suckers. They want more religion.

There're solutions for this shit. You gotta stop supporting religions. All of them.

You are anti-religion, and although I am in the majority and have had a social advantage for ages, I feel that you are attacking me and that I am persecuted for judging everyone that is not exactly like me.

Seriously, can the aliens abduct us any quicker?

Even as a child I was puzzled as to why God finds blind faith virtuous. Among many other questions, the adults and preacher couldn't satisfy me. Figured I was just a kid and would understand later in life.

When you've had faith = virtue beat into your head from childhood, you're worldview is going to be stunted.

I just sent the link for the watches to my MAGA cousin. Let's see if he takes the bait!

Lemme be Frank

Is this news article quoting a Lemmy user‽ Folks, we've made it!

On Jan. 8 Lemme be Frank, from Switzerland—a country famed for its watches—wrote, “Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not buy any of these garbage products. Avoid like the plague!!”

Well during the plague, the president will probably tell the public that the vaccines will cause autism and to avoid them. Take bleach and ivermectin instead

Isn't it a Trump watch? It'll be right twice a day... wrong the other 1438 times.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago

An offset clock can lie all day.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Now let me see, where did I put my empathy for the people who got scammed? Ah well, it's probably the same place as their empathy for non white, non cis people is. Guess I'll never find it

No shit Sherlock?

[–] Bubbaonthebeach@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Exemplary product from a Trump point of view then. A scam that relieved his followers of their cash in exchange for trash. He, as usual, is laughing all the way to the bank. This presidency is already stacking up to be far more lucrative than the last one.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's a hell of an understatement. He's more than doubled his net worth through his crypto scam, and all his spawn have become obscenely wealthy. Even Baron is now worth between $200M and $500M.

Trump-brand products! 100% scam, or your money back!

Not sure who still buys Trump products other than people who want money to be taken away from them.

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

At some point, the low quality of his products should call into question the quality of his leadership and direction.

We're talking about a guy who managed to run multiple casinos into the ground. Casinos. Businesses which at their core consists of people handing you money and you getting to keep between 25-50% of it on average.

On top of that, he was laundering gobs of money through them (the Taj Mahal for sure) and still couldn't manage to keep them afloat.

Running the Federal Government like it was part of the Trump Organization was one of the few promises he actually kept and boy does it show.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

This isn't about quality, or at least that's not mentioned. Even worse, the watches aren't shipping at all.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Let me guess: the normal sales price for those watches is 99.99 or less.

Wow. I'm impressed. If it is really this clock (branded, of course), he really, really scammed them. Deserves them right. While the amount of features is impressive, I'm not sure how long this thing will work properly, and I wonder about the serviceability. Has someone of the YT clockmaker guys had a closer look at it?

Reviews cite delays, non-arrivals, and ignored demands for refunds.

Damn. Well, I'm sure the next Trump product will be totally legit and worth the money. Keep spending, dipshits. Those two-headed commemorative coins are only going to go up in value. Get in early!

If they re furious at Trump they ain't MAGA, just fake MAGA fools with no sense of value. Real MAGA would not be able to afford baby formula due to this monetary tithe to their living God.

[–] TRAHR@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Quick get the BBB on it!
