Microsoft has a multi decade history of forcing people into using an trash product due to CIA/govt contracts corruption or something, never due to being the superior product on the market. So why would anyone think they'd deliver anything worthwhile now? A bunch of crap that you have to overpay to be underwhelmed by has always been their standard.
