Currently residing in Cologne, Germany for a few days and despite being labeled as a left wing leaning city, I have yet to see a single Palestinian flag or sticker. Lots of Antifa and anti nazi shit but no Palestine. Compared to my city, were every single lamp post has Palestine stickers, it is a strange sight.
Socialism is inevitable as long as we keep on fighting for it.
So for as long as I can remember I dress how I wanted and did my own hobbies. Colorful or alternative clothing, being a open and accepting person, that kind of stuff. And I suffered a great deal of ridicule for it in my hometown, being called gay and whatnot.
So years go by and I continue to be me, you know. Dress in my own type of clothes, enjoy my coffee while reading a book outside, whatever. And after leaving my hometown and moving into the big city some years ago I finally felt like I found a place where I could do such things without facing homophobia.
Only now this whole 'aesthetic' has been hijacked by the performative male meme which is now, imo, turning into another form of homphobia (haha real men can't read books or wear flashy outfits by themselves, they must be acting to get laid!). It is reinforcing patriarchic views of what men can and cannot like. Men can't like stuff women happen to like without ulterior motives, or without being gay.
most people in the real world don't care about some mean, cynical meme discourse, just keep doing you and try not to let it get to you (which is admittedly easier said than done). rejecting toxic masculine posturing and being an open person sounds pretty based to me, for what that's worth!
Was standing in the train today with some orthodox Jewish guys, who seemed to be discussing if they were on the right train. One of them came up to me and asked me if they could use my phone to call someone since they did not have a phone. I said sure and gave them my phone. One of the dudes proceeds to call.
Then I realised: I have a big Palestinian flag sticker on the back of my phone lol. Got a bit nervous because of that but they don't seem to mind or see. Most of the time they aren't zionists but still tensions are a thing.
As the weather cools down in the northern hemisphere, and warms up in the southern, make sure you're all dressing appropriately for the weather! Keep up with your goals, look excitedly towards the future, and roll up our sleeves so that we may better do the work necessary for that future to be a good one. The historic duty of the working class depends on each and every one of us.

Went to visit a more culturally diverse part of Cologne yesterday and of course there the Palestina stuff was. It once again confirmed to me that white people need to get a grip.

This is literally all happening within the past like week.
I was driven out of there a month ago or so for similar reasons. There’s a problem with the mods, they defended Zionist arguments for years regarding the Israel emoji and banned anybody who brought it up.
I remember that. Civility policing. All too familiar.
The outcome of their latest struggle session after their problematic mods crashed out again and made violent threats again is that there should be more civility policing. That being mean is fascism. No discussion about the zionist and social democratic positions of many of the mods and admins there, the latest driven out are Nakoichi (demodded earlier, now banned for violent threats against users), Lyudmila (of "holocaust emoji" fame) and Kristina (another part of the Nakoichi clique). However, mods and admins are still in place that have made death threats against me in the leaked modchat (Alaskaball) or requested IP de-anonymization to catch my many supposed alts (RedWizard, see the Z Battalion conspiracy) or who are social democrats and democratic party entryists (the entire electoralism/chapotraphouse mod lists with 'Marx' in their names or pfps). The users had a big struggle sessions where they drafted a big list of complaints, many of which are valid, but some of which are just civility policing and unrelated bullshit being shoved in. At least they drove out 3 of the problem admins/mods, but they still have a while to go. Also, ThousandBreaths heard me bring up Nakoichi making death threats and he ignored me. CARCOSA also lied during their PR channel a bunch of times, as proved by the mod chat leak.
The problem isn't a "culture of bullying". The problem is a mod culture of death threats, ideological incorrectness, and refusing to admit they're ever wrong and instead doubling down by increasingly breaking their own rules against users. It's not a site culture issue, it's a mod culture issue.
They found my alt there and don't even ban it anymore. They just site blocked it and purged it. You can't even see the threads and comments PunishedWeezing was involved in. They've been nuked without any report on the modlog. This is just a couple days ago. They're still doing their shit.

Can't open a thread I was commenting in, as an example. The user is gone from the site entirely with no trail, right after they made a big stink about using the modlog to detail temporary bans in their new struggle session. They now are just disappearing me. Like wtf. I cannot log into the account, it says login credentials are incorrect. User doesn't show up in search, user doesn't show up in modlog.
If I'm such a wrecker why do they make it so easy by being a rotten pile of shit that makes death threats all the time, lies and has terrible op sec? Why do they threaten to doxx users and track IP addresses and go on witch hunts behind closed doors, and say they're being transparent in public? That keeps taking the incorrect side in every ideological schism until forced by the userbase to comply?
I'm actually doing some investigation into this, not detective-wise just as I'm curious about these sort of things and I don't want to open my mouth if I don't know what I'm talking about. I have noticed that there is an option to purge entirely, like you said, from modlog, user-base, etc. I have noticed exactly what you're describing with that already, it's interesting to see it backed up as well. Trying to think of any other reason falls short to me.

Gonna be vague-posting, events like these that I've experienced in the past and much worse has lead me to some unsurprising conclusions that none of these actually have any effect on you if you know exactly how fortified you are. I'm comfortable. Not out of laziness or complacency, either. Not justifying anything (seriously, I'm not), just offering some advice for the future if it's possible to take it. Curiously, I wonder if the account that was deleted entirely was the ones with certain logs attached. Did you save any of these?
On the other side of the coin, I do believe Nakoichi was punished. I had a talk with them a while ago about some hexbear events and they mentioned to me that they were removed from a moderator position. Was this something else? Sorry for the questions, am curious.
I did not mention or post the leaked mod chat on that account. I was in a completely unrelated discussion when I was purged. It's especially egregious because they literally just spent like a week calming the userbase down about how they will do reforms and be better mods and document everything and be transparent. Now they're disappearing accounts because they don't want the blowback from bans.
If you are in a western country, strongly consider devoting time to leaving rather than reasoning with western leftists

The change has been happening for over a year. This time last year the admin team was picking off/driving out quality power posters and while pulling in libs from blue sky and reddit. Remember when they tried to permaban Awoo? That was not a one off it was just them finding the limits of who they could purge in their quest to liberalize the community.

I've been away for a while due to a strenuous and stressful move. I'm a bit more settled now in a new city where I don't know anyone or anything, hoping for a fresh start and a fruitful direction. Although it's quite lonely at the start.
I did that several years ago, and it was the most pivotal change in my life. It'll be tough not knowing anyone at first, but it was transformational for me. Good luck!

The amount of alleged "Marxists" I've encountered who prefer vibes to materialism, lack basic reading comprehension, and prefer strawmen arguments over responding to what was actually written is really putting my revolutionary optimism to the test. Some comrades out there really need to learn how to process information before reacting to it.

Vibes based Comrades can be safely kept out of the loop and called in at a moments notice. Your party needs to have a person who can harness vibes and direct those people where needed. That was what Lenin did with trosky.

I agree. Too often people play with rhetoric or try to point out fallacies, taking "easy victories," rather than engaging with the most charitable reading of their points. It's a consistent problem I see. Same with comrades interacting with other comrades, I don't see it too often but sometimes I see struggle for the sake of struggle, rather than for unity and understanding.
