He is ripe for getting primaried. With the help of the Mamdani base, AOC has a decent chance. Maybe she could communicate it in a way that acknowledges his successes but asking him politely to retire.

Really hope AOC takes his seat, she’d be a shoo-in.

The fewer geriatric old guard in Congress the better, they are poison for all working class Americans.

I wouldn't say a shoo-in. The establishment despises AOC and whether it's Chuck or some other plug they will find a way to try and stop her. Look at Cuomo against Mamdani. They supported him despite the sexual harassment accusations and the nursing home scandal.

Yeah you’re right, “blue no matter who,” but if you’re progressive we will team up with republicans to bring you down every time.

Still, I think she’s been making waves with the fight oligarchy tour with Bernie. It’s precisely what the people want. She could really shine a spotlight on just how corrupt the establishment politicians are if she ran against Schumer, and a lot more people would be paying attention than the usuals.

because the democratic party is based on seniority, not performance. so the oldest who have been in the govt the longest have the most power.

the republicans aren't beholden to this model of 'seniority first' so they tend to have younger leadership.

Because he is an old white HOA cookie cutter politician who will safeguard the old way just like the rest of the democrats and republicans
