I mean, the only way for something like this to become political, would be if some politicians wanted to protect pedophiles or something.

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 20 points 1 month ago

Well that would NEVER happen

Or if one side was only advocating for the investigation of the other side with regard to the files, completely ignoring the fact that they were besties with Epstein.

In the sense that it can be, sure. Seems like we used to have some things that no one would question, politics being not a factor. There are less of those now.

The bravery of these women is incredible. They must be receiving daily death threats from the cult, but they still push on.

I also wanted to say that LadyButterfly is one of those posters who keep Lemmy running, and I really appreciate it. I also love how polite you are to men who comment on c/womensstuff, even though they're breaking the rules.

That's really kind of you thanks! And we're lucky 90% of the men that pop in are really nice and there accidentally, often they even delete their own comments out of respect. They really deserve niceness, and so do you.

I wish people would stop thinking “political” means “partisan”. I think that does more harm than most would think.

It's absolutely political because the abusers want to lower the age of consent so it isn't a crime.

These woman are much braver than I am and I have been in combat. They need our support now. Call you congress member and tell them they will be held accountable for their vote. And if you have Virginia Fox call them right back when they hang up on you.

Well I hope they're pushing for unredacted release.

[–] Adulated_Aspersion@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

It isn't political. If there are members of either party (or other parties, or NO party) involved, call them all out.

Right!? I know some of us remember what justice is.

Justice is political…
