He supported anything he got paid to support. Its no surprise he doesn't know what any of it is.

It’s a shame we keep electing, and reelecting, such blatant twits.

Lindsey Grahams whole life is saying stupid shit and biding his time until his next "hookup".

Each time Lindsey Graham opens his trap, I'm always surprised by how genuinely dumb this guy is.

I mean there are profiteering Republicans, ass-licking Republicans, passive servile Republicans, Nazi-adjacent Republicans, pro-paedophilia Republicans and batshit crazy Republicans - in various percentages of the Disgusting-Republican grand total. But Lindsey Graham is unique in being an almost purely dumb-as-a-brick Republican.

At least bricks can be useful.

Even a bad example is a good example of a bad example.

Noone is so useless that you can't use him as a bad example.

Al Frankin said he was a funny guy, but incredibly cynical politicaly.

[–] blackbrook@mander.xyz 2 points 6 hours ago

Which means acting dumb when convenient.

Poor guy.  If only he had learned to read maybe he wouldn't be in this situation.

I’m no fan of Senator Graham, but IIRC, the Patriot Act had broad bipartisan support at the time.

[–] hateisreality@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

The goddamn heritage foundation had a big part in writing that bill

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 3 points 8 hours ago

So what? No one is saying it is his fault alone. They're saying he personally voted repeatedly to grant the powers to the government that are currently being used to surveil him. They're also saying that he and the rest of Congress have the power to remove or limit those powers but they won't do that because they only care when it impacts them personally.

Like most of the worst bills in the US Congress.

Exact same thing happened to Feinstein
