Working in the tech industry has me cringe any time these fuckheads make headlines. 🤮
Time to move to the opposite side of the planet, right?
I live in Japan where we also have inflation, wage stagnation, increasing inequality, and a handful of elites with disproportionate influence.
The scary part is that tech bros are starting to become self-aware — that the old fantasy of “going Galt” and leaving us mediocre peasants behind is silly because there won’t be anyone to do menial jobs (since naturally they are geniuses and menial work is beneath them).
The scary part is they now want slaves to tend to their every whim.
Call it what it is: Settler Colonialism

Like the preppers during COVID, they’ll LARP it for like two weeks, then get all up in arms that it’s too cold or too hard, give up and then blame the nearest scapegoat for why it sucked.
I say we double or nothing. Promise em like 100 billion in funding and let them go build a cloud city on Venus. First one to stay a night there gets the prize and to shape their narcissistic technoutopia how ever they see fit.
Yeah, I really don't fucking understand these guys. If they spent only a fraction of the resources they spend on prepping on actually building an equitable society, they could just live normally and even walk down the street without fear of getting shot at.
Instead they build dank underground bunkers where they'll just have to live out their days like some paranoid Howard Hughes copy.
Oh! He's tanking the economy so the tech billionaires can gain more money to start a new system in green land which is separate from all continents so they can rule from their own segregated country.
Let them all move there and then nuke it from orbit. After relocating the lovely people of Greenland first, of course.
