Rules (interactive)

Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.

Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

You ever met a narcissist? They have machinations while pursuing power, but rarely when weilding it

[–] cheeseburger@piefed.ca 11 points 5 hours ago

Perhaps power itself is his endgame. Like Putin who he envies. Everything Trump does is to maintain and grow his power. This video was enlightening on the subject: https://youtu.be/1iZcXn8uDis

Orwell is quoted in the comments and is prophetical:

Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.

George Orwell, 1984

Nah.

He desperately wanted to be POTUS again so he didnt go to jail.

Since then hes really just enriching himself generally.

I presume he would like to ensure he doesn't go to jail in the future somehow, but IDK if thats a specific end game or a general goal.

I bet hes asked doctors whether its possible to transplant him into Barron's body.

Trump, personally?

He has never been loved. He desperately wants to be loved. But he has absolutely no idea what that means, and so nothing he does is working or can ever work. He thinks adulation from adoring fans is love. He thinks money is love. He thinks being powerful means people will love him, and that hurting other people makes him powerful. The "there are only winners and losers in life and to be a winner you need to make other people losers" thing he learned from his terrible father.

But since none of that is true he's got a gaping black hole inside him that never gets filled no matter how much he tries to cram these things into it.

If he were younger I'd have some vague slight hope that he might someday be able to recover from this. But it's far too late now, he's a broken husk of a human being that does nothing but hurt everyone around him. I hope he dies immediately, if not sooner.

Exactly. HE doesn't have a plan, but his handlers sure do.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 39 points 16 hours ago

Yeah, he's just a vessel for the oligarchs to steer. He'll scrape money from any step he can and they'll gladly let him as he is getting them what they want. He said in the early 90s he wanted to make the presidency profitable for himself, and anyone around him knows he is easily bought

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 15 points 14 hours ago

Make the rich richer. Easy.

[–] IWW4@lemmy.zip 39 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Pump and dump, baby. It is what he does.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 12 points 17 hours ago

Other than that he's got no plan, he's too stupid. To find the plan you'd have to look at who is influencing Captain 73.

[–] abigscaryhobo@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago

His endgame is to feed his ego. Anything else is just an accessory to that.

[–] human@slrpnk.net 25 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

In my opinion, personally, the latter, but some people in his administration, very much the former.

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 12 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

He wants to keep making illegal moves and having his appointed judges sign off on them until he has absolute uncontested power, and part of that includes creating civil unrest and war so that he can use martial law and wartime powers to impose his will.

His endgame is to just stay in office until the day he dies.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I might be very okay with that last part, conditional on timing.

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 6 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Nah, fuck that, I want him removed tomorrow and sent to prison within the year.

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I want that too, but I'll gladly accept a toilet aneurysm today.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

Just as a friend said about him: "Möge ihn der Blitz beim Scheissen treffen!", literally "May lightning hit him while he is shitting!".

[–] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 11 points 16 hours ago

I’ll put it simply: he envies Putin

Money, fame, access to higher, more depraved kind of pleasures... what do you think was and still is the endgame of aristocrats? These people don't care about their own children, why would you think they care about anyone besides themselves, in the basest way possible too? Have some discernment and remember everything that comes out of their mouth is spin. 👍

[–] ultranaut@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

Both, and there's more than one end game because there's multiple factions behind Trump who have slightly different end games in mind. There is a shared purpose and common cause built up around Trump but also some fundamental tensions within the party about what the post-Constitutional order will look like once they've fully consolidated power.

[–] pyrinix@kbin.melroy.org 3 points 16 hours ago

He is chaotically making it up along the way. When he's polarizing even his voterbase at times, it is a clear sign that this guy is nothing but destruction unchecked.

The Republicans now, can only wish they'd have someone like George W Bush in office again because at least that's someone who they know can dupe easily into supporting every crooked idea they have in mind.

With Trump, only Project 2025, the establishment of DOGE, letting ICE run around recklessly and force-pressuring Democrats to play ball is all that's in the playbook. Anything else, it is just carnage.

End game not so much, rather a tendency where the world around him reflects his inflated ego by leaving some sort of legacy bearing his name: a nobel price or resolving a major conflict or annexing some other nation.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 1 points 15 hours ago

In addition to what's been mentioned, he has certain protections as long as he's President.

[–] msokiovt@lemmy.today -3 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

Trump can't do anything. He's been stripped of power by the International Common Law Court of Justice, of which trumps (pun intended) both cannon and legal law.

Proof is here: https://murderbydecree.com/2025/10/06/__trashed/

Some other notable peeps are Rutte, Prevost (Pope Leo XIV), and the Windors. Common Law applies to everyone, including these punks who think they're above the law.
