The size of vehicles and the entitlement of drivers is getting ridiculous.

30 km/h on side streets is just sensible and done in many European countries.

Limiting the size of personal vehicles, particularly bonnet height, is sensible and should have been done yesterday.

Additionally, you can design large vehicles with proper front visibility (vans fit a bunch of stuff, yet somehow still have great front visibility...)

These American style utes are ridiculous and should be banned.

These things only exist because of one of the US's worst laws in recent history exempting 'trucks' from emission standards and turned into a dick waving contest and perceived weapons escalation race on public roads.

Get 'em the fuck off our roads.

Kind of annoys me that they didn't talk about the size and type of cars on the road changing, while at the same time the writer indicates vehicles have only become better and safer with this sentence,

But despite advances in vehicle technology and enforcement, Australia's road toll is climbing again.

People need to realise that it doesn't take 2500kg of metal to move them and their backpack to the office.

Less cars and more and much better public transport are the only solutions, stop bir8ldi g roads and only light and jea y rail projects going forward.

Moving heavy trucks off roads as well with more rail by freight ffs

Tis all easy and done elsewhere but not while voters do the same thing and re-lelect the same people.
