how bad is the US, that Iran attacking American assets is viewed as a good thing by Americans

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 41 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They're not attacking an American asset, they are attacking an asset of a major Sociopathic Oligarch, which is inspiring. We should see more of it.

Does Musk have any factories in the neighborhood?

you're both correcting me, and proving my point.

Our government and corporate boardrooms (what's the difference anymore) are openly ran by Nazi pedophiles

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Just had a crazy thought. What if that's their plan for retaliation? What are they going to do, go toe to toe with the US military? Fucking suicide. Attack the assets of the real power in America. Cost the billionaires money and they'll go crying to trump to end the war.

[–] 0_o7@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's something I haven't thought. These billionaires would not like to lose any shareholder value and might be easily swayed when their operation and profits are threatened.

But I also think it's wishful thinking. They would probably demand an escalation and protection then a data center deal in Tehran when this is all over.

That assumes the US wants Iran to be stable. They do not. In fact, US intervention since WW2 has systematically degraded the stability of wherever they intervened.

Have they started a Gofundme yet? Do Iranian missles have video footage?

[–] calcopiritus@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Those are probably assets of a micronation with 0% corporate tax. Idk why Americans should be upset.

Amazon may have started here, but it is part of an international effort to fuck all of us. Everyone should be glad.

Good. Amazon is a threat to democracy. Together with Facebook and Xai, they are among the biggest threats to democracy.

Replace Godzilla with Iran

[–] xSikes@feddit.online 41 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Data centers should be attacked, not people.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 month ago

I agree. Let it burn. Money is the only thing that billionaires notice.

Iran is a terrorist state, how dare you imply them attacking American companies is an good thing. Real democracies attack strategically, like bombing schools full of children!

They have a lot more guys, no company keeps all of its data centralized anymore, the really important shit is distributed across a spectrum of secure, hidden or reinforced bunkers around the world. There is big money in converting old war-time nuclear shelters and silos into secure data centers for companies to store part of their data on.

[–] halcyoncmdr@piefed.social 8 points 1 month ago

This isn't just an Amazon server farm, this is an AWS data center. Not every AWS customer is going to have data duplicated across multiple sites.

Burn the United States harder daddy.
