And, look at whats happening in the House, whats happening in the Senate: Democrats support this, or at least do not oppose it, or work to shut down opposition on this issue.

There are a few Democrats against this. But leadership supports whats happening.

Honesty is not always better. The brazenness is a signal that in a decaying democracy Americans now longer have the power to reign in the executive branch. At least not without a new and more confrontational strategy.
