The UN Security Council (UNSC) adopted Resolution 2817 (2026) on 11 March, condemning what it described as Iran’s “egregious attacks” against several Gulf states, according to proceedings released by the UN the same day.

The measure passed with 13 votes in favor and two abstentions, China and Russia, as the regional war, triggered by Israeli and US airstrikes on Iran on 28 February, approaches its second week and spreads across multiple West Asian countries.

The resolution denounces Iranian strikes on Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan, and demands an immediate halt to attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure. It also calls on Tehran to stop what it described as threats to maritime trade and support for armed groups across the region.

Any resolutions condemning US/Izrael attacks all over the fucking ME?

There was a resolution right after this one that condemned "all sides". Bahrain chose to abstain, and got attacked a few hours later. Latvia voted with US veto.

The Iranian government is a piece of shit but they absolutely have the right to defend themselves. Military infrastructure being used to launch attacks from foreign soil is fair game. If you don't like the idea of another nation attacking you in retaliation then maybe consider that next time you agree to host a US military facility on your land, let them use your airstrips, or otherwise supply them with arms/resources.

And, naturally, not a single mention of the opening hours of the war involving a US cruise missile being parked in a school full of nearly 200 children.
