There are parlimentary elections this week in my country, it's looking like the liberals will win again along with a left leaning and green party which is still better than the fascist right wing party which has been gathering support. While they did a lot of shitty things what they did manage to do was a mandatory end of year bonus for all full-time employees which isn't taxed and a bunch of other reforms regarding pensions and the environment. Could be worse I guess.

If you're confused about the 2010s part let me clarify:

This was roughly the time I was beginning to understand that what the US pretends to be and what the US actually is were two different things. I was still a pro-intervention radical liberal but I was mad we were invading countries for oil instead of overthrowing dictatorships to liberate people. I wanted the propaganda to match the reality and it wasn't until I learned that was impossible that I really began moving through the pipeline to actual Leftism.

Sounds like the imperialist blockade has broken Cuba's power grid, looks grim if they're going to be attacking Cuba next.

Hey look BE is doing his usual shtick on twitter...

Eh...honestly I'm tired of the guy. I wish i could block all mention of him. The bongos are too goddamn loud.

Edit: I think my problem is that he has this "give an inch take a mile" approach. It's like "well I don't like Hasan" and it's like, that's a fine thing to have I'll keep listening to you. But then 5 seconds later it'll devolve into "fuck you I hate everyone you're all LARPERS and Imperialist if you don't agree with me." And it's just exhausting to listen to or read. He also has a schrodingers douchebag problem where he'll be a massive jerk and then go to his channel and be like "wahh these people are so mean to me, see how reasonable im speaking now? They're being so belligerent"

Is it just me or is the navy always a hotbed of rebellion for some reason? HNLMS De Zeven Provinciën, the German navy mutinies at the end of ww1, hell even Krondstadt (although I hold pess respect for the latter for obvious reasons) amongst others. Idk, i feel like i hear about it often enough so it's starting to intrigue me

Third Reich: "Are ya winnin' sons?"

USA & Israel: inaudible grumbling through a stream of tears with Farsi laughter in the background

It feels like the US would be the Reich's dad or atleast uncle with how much inspiration hitler took from the US

It's really wierd being adventurous but timid. Like I don't mind trying new things or going to far off places, as long as I have someone who can help me in doing that. Unfortunately not a lot of people i know are lining up to take a hakf a week to a week long trip to China at somepoint. But also I don't wanna go alone ):

Throughout the early years of the war, [Reich] officials tried to provide a legalistic image, often by shifting blame for the onset of terror bombing to the British. In May 1940, the New York Times published a column claiming that Hermann Göring, the supreme commander of the Luftwaffe, threatened retaliatory strikes against Great Britain, specifically using the word terror in its inflammatory language.²¹ Promising “mighty blows” against the British body and flexing the perceived muscle of the [Luftwaffe], Göring was laying blame for his intentional targeting of civilian populations squarely on British military operations against Germany.²²

While this was framed as a retaliation for British operations and the Blitz—an all-out aerial assault aimed primarily against civilians which lasted almost a full year—is often cited as the beginning of German aggression towards civilian populations, that explanation is far from the truth. It is important to remember that [Fascist] fire rained on Warsaw and other Polish cities months before the publication of this article, not to mention Guernica years before.

While Göring threatened only Great Britain, the Luftwaffe went on to target Dutch and Belgian cities as well as French border towns like Mareuil with terror strikes only five months later, using the same methods that were tested at Guernica. The first sorties of the Blitz didn’t fly until early July of 1940, long after the Reichsmarschall made his threat.

Looking at Javier Milei's instagram... It's just continuous shitty AI slop about how evil socialism is, often inserting himself as a heroic savior.

I can't believe how cringy it is lol

Argentina is even more of a reddit occupied government than America. Sometimes I like to browse the Anarcho-Capitalism subreddit purely because some of the most hilarious people are on there. Here's but a glimpse of some of their groundbreaking political theory:

Also, thanks. Apparently some accounts I follow, follow and like his posts regularly. Good way to cleanse them from my feed.

I've been thinking about both Souls-like games and Hollow-knight [if all metroidvanias use this mechanic feel free to correct me] and honestly I'm trying to think if there would be a better death mechanic than what they have. Dropping all your currency on death (and then losing it if you die again) is...fine i guess. I just haven't found it particularly engaging.

Because if you have no currency for whatever reason (died already, stored somehow, just got whatever you were saving up for) then it kinda defeats the point (which I think is supposed to discourage reckless behavior). Additionally, losing them permanently is more just annoying than anything. I mean, you can obviously just grind for them if you really need it.

But I can't come up with any ideas to replace it with so :p

Really enjoying the Imperial '80s podcast on Millennials Are Killing Capitalism. They go over '80s movies and discuss from an anti-imperialist Marxist perspective, super interesting and fun to listen to. It's been my go-to thing lately for when I want something more relaxing to decompress in the evenings after catching up on all the more serious news and analysis.
